About Us

Ian Huston IT Consulting is a small Brisbane based business, which specialises in servicing small business's by providing a complete solution to their IT needs. Being a small business, allows us to provide the personal contact and care larger firms lack. We pride ourselves on customer service and can confidently say that all of our customers are completely satisfied with our services.  Our owner/proprietor, Ian Huston, has been in the IT industry for over ten years and has a Bachelor of Information Technology.

We don't have a shop front and have little to no interest in the home PC market (other than when requested by our existing business customers). We operate a completely onsite/remote service to our customers as we understand small business owners don't have the time and resources to run around after their IT needs which is why we come to them.

We try to supply only quality solutions using quality branded equipment with reliable onsite warranty.  We also offer technical services including configuration, installation, limited training and maintenance of both the equipment and software solutions we supply to help you the customer get the most from their IT purchases.

Although over 50% of our business is with Medical Centre Groups including AMAQ, Medeco Pty Ltd, MediHealth Pty Ltd & VanTre Health Pty Ltd, we service customers in a variety of other industries such as accommodation, accountancy, automotive (car care, smash repair, tyre shops), communications, construction, retail and wholesale agents/stores.

Price Increases

Unfortunately due to the Global Financial crisis (more accurately our exchange rate) the cost of computer equipment and software has increased by around 25% since October / November 2008.  These increases are almost all in place now as Australian distributers have run out of stock purchased at 90c in the dollar and had to purchase new stock at around 66c in the dollar.
